Focused Development Associates (FDA) is a non-profit knowledge based and research oriented organization providing multi-sectoral expert support and solutions to clients in their quest to enhance economic growth and global development

As a well resourced think-tank, we are involved in Concept/Policy Development and Review, Governance Related issues, Public Financial Management, Monitoring & Evaluation and client-based demand driven Human Resources placement, Quality Assurance and Advisory Services.

Apart from our demand-driven research works and trainings, we undertake clients based concepts and Policy Development as well as implementation assignments in general project management, Agric-business (marketing, processing, financing) as well as support small and medium scale enterprises in puting in place a robust management framework that touches on project feasibility study, record keeping, compliance monitoring, risk profiling and management as well as sensitivity analysis.
In addition, we have the needed capacity to undertake social policy analysis and governance assessment through different models.

Dr. Olalekan Obademi

FDA is led by Dr Olalekan Obademi, a multi-disciplinary Consultant of over fifteen years consulting experience on diverse donor funded projects in Nigeria. He has a PhD in Finance in addition to two Master's degrees as MSc in Economics, and another MSc in Agricultural Economics as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Management and Bachelors degree in Agricultural Economics from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Nigeria. He also has a Postgraduate Diploma in International Development from University of London (LSE). He has worked as a core staff and consultant on divers donor funded development projects such as those funded by DFID, USAID, World Bank, UNDP, European Union etc.
He was the Chief of Party of the Health Finance and Governance Project and at a time the Technical Adviser to the Minister for National Planning, Nigeria.
Dr Obademi has many years of University teaching experience and consulting experience as a Public Financial Management Expert, Policy Expert and Health, Financing as well as Monitoring and Evaluation competences. He is an Alumnus of the World Bank Institute, Washington and London School of Economics (LSE).

Legal and Advocacy Team Lead.

‘Lola Ogedengbe is an Accountant and a Lawyer with many years of professional experience. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), and an Associate, Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) as well as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria having been called to the Nigerian Bar in December 2010. She is a strategic and analytical finance professional with over twenty (20) years of success in financial reporting & analyses, risk management, business development and project management. She also offers legal advice and has excellent legal writing skills and has worked in both the private and public sector organizations. Her various post includes Director, Finance and Accounts at The Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB), Senior Manager/Head, Process & Control Dept. Gateway Holdings Limited, Principal Legal Consultant, BabatundeAdefila& Co (Legal Practitioners & Consultants), Deputy Financial Controller (Assistant Manager) Magnum Trust Bank Plc (now Sterling Bank Plc) As the Director, Finance and Accounts at NCRIB, she was involved in the successful conversion of the Council’s financial statements and supervised the training of over five hundred (500) insurance broking firms’ Accountants and External Auditors on the newly adopted International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) conversion of their financial statements ‘Lola presently works as a Regulatory &Business Consultant with Segun Awosanya & Co (Chartered Accountants).

Olumide is a graduate of accounting & finance both in Nigeria and UK, chartered accountant for more than 2 decades in Nigeria and more than a decade in UK. He worked as an inspector for 3 banks in Nigeria and he later became consultant to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in the areas of microfinance regulatorry Jcompliance. He later became tax consultant to some states internal revenue services Kand for Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and to some private notable private companies. He is also a tax consultant to private companies in UK to meet the regulations of His Royal Majesty Revenue & Customs (HMRC) as well as Companies House.

Olajide Obarotimi FCCA, CFE, MBA Olajide is a qualified accountant with extensive knowledge of financial forensics, financial instruments, financial reporting standards, internal audit and regulatory requirements. He has over a decade cognate experience in multinational investment banks such as Royal Bank of Canada, JPMorgan, State Street and The Bank of New York Mellon, where he worked in the financial reporting team with responsibility for Investment Funds with aggregate financial assets of over $32 Billion. He is currently the Principal Partner of SIDIC Accountants in London. Olajide is a consultant trainer, have written and presented papers on various topics ranging from financial to innovation, and have led executive training in four (4) continents on sustainable developments, financial forensics, innovation, international development, fraud prevention, Islamic finance, management, leadership, social finance, risk management, internal audit, data management, local government administration, Microsoft office package, advanced credit analysis, International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), emerging markets, amongst others.
